Là tác phẩm xuất sắc của nữ nhà văn Cửu Đan, Quạ đen hướng vào một đề tài quen thuộc nhưng có lối khám phá riêng. Qua tác phẩm này, tác giả thể hiện cái nhìn hết sức thành thật, nghiệt ngã về giới mình, cũng như về con người nói chung của cuộc sống hiện đại. Để khắc sâu bi kịch của các nhân vật, đặc biệt là nhân vật nữ, Cửu Đan đã sử dụng một hệ thống biểu tượng vừa lạ, vừa quen, trong đó nổi bật là hình ảnh “quạ đen”.

Eliot’s concept of the “unification of sensibility” is standing for his preference for the metaphysical poets. And”dissociation of sensibility” for his antipathy for Milton’s poetry and the poetry of the Victorians.
