A role of wild bird population in the transmission of parasitic flatworms (platyhelminthes: Cestoidea and trematodea) in Vietnam’s forest
The study aimed to evaluate the role of transmitting flatworms (Cestoidea and Trematodea) of wild bird populations in three national parks of Vietnam: Xuan Son in the Northwest mountainous region, Tam Dao in the Northeast mountainous region, and Cat Ba in the Hong River Delta region.

In the showroom of our museum, are displayed 257 bird-specimens, of 138 species, 48 families and 16 orders, of which some 13 are rare and scientifically valuable ones, as Pelecanus philippensis, Leptoptilos javanicus, Threskiornis melanocephalus, Pavo muticus, Buceros bicornis, Rhyticeros undulatus... 69,82% of the bird specimens are in a good state.

Analysis of osteoporosis like phenotype of the Rankl: HSE:CFP homozygous transgenic medaka fish line C1C6 model for osteoporosis
In this study, we testcrossed 12 fish of the F5 generation, which were offspring obtained from inbreeding of heterozygous F4 siblings, with wild type fish and found 3 female and 3 male F5 fish homozygous for the transgene.

Global exponential stability for nonautonomous cellular neural networks with unbounded delays
In this article, we study cellular neural networks (CNNs) with timevarying coefficients, bounded and unbounded delays. By introducing a new Liapunov functional to approach unbounded delays and using the continuation theorem of coincidence degree, we obtain some sufficient conditions to ensure the existence periodic solutions and global exponential stability of CNNs.

Oribatid mites (Acari: Oribatida) as an intermediate host of tapeworms (Cestoda) in the soil ecosystem of Vietnam
Ten tapeworm species (Cestoda: Anoplocephalidae) are known to parasitize 21 animal species of Vietnam, with oribatid mites being intermediate hosts. Introduced was also the two-host life cycle of tapeworm Bertiella species, with oribatid mites serving as intermediate hosts prior to transmission to the definitive host.

Growth inhibitory activities of the rhizome crude extract of Curcuma longa on the human pathogenic fungus Mucor circinelloides
Mucormycosis is an uncommon but life-threatening invasive fungal infection, mostly occurs in immunocompromised patients. Lacking the appropriate antifungal drugs is one of the reasons that lead to difficulties in the management of mucormycosis. Curcuma longa has been used traditionally and widely to treat various diseases, including fungal infections.

Cây thông thiên (Thevetia peruviana Pers.) thuộc họ trúc đào (Apocynaceae) có nguồn gốc từ châu Mỹ, được trồng làm cảnh ở nhiều nơi trên đất nước ta. Inexpensive carbon and nitrogen sources for polyhydroxyalkanoate (PHA) production by halophilic bacterium yangia Yangia sp. ND 199
The effect of different nitrogen sources on cell growth and polyhydroxyalkanoate (PHA) accumulation by halophilic bacterium strain Yangia sp. ND199 was investigated. The combination of 0.5 g/L potassium nitrate (KNO3) and 0.5 g/L yeast extract was shown to be good nitrogen source for cell growth and PHBV production by Yangia sp. ND199.

Quantitative HBV-DNA and determination of drug-resistant mutants in patients with chronic hepatitis B virus (HBV) in Hai Duong province
After 6 months of treatment with antiretroviral drugs based on quantitative HBV-DNA. The rate of normalization of liver enzymes increased significantly. The rate of patients with quantitative HBV-DNA under the detectable level was highly significant. Patients with mutations in the RT region was highly significant (52.9%) while we did not identify any mutations in the Pre-S region.

Phytochemical constituents and biological activities of Pseuderanthemum palatiferum (Nees) Radlk. leaf extracts
The methanol extract of P. palatiferum (Nees) Radlk. leaves exhibited a moderate inhibitory effect on the L-3,4-dihydroxyphenylalanine (L-DOPA) oxidase activity of tyrosinase in the melanin biosynthesis pathway. Further study may lead to new bioactive compounds from ethyl acetate and n-hexane fractions.

First data of goby fish in Tien Hai wetland nature reserve, Thai Binh province
Gobiiformes is the second diverse order of fish, with more than 2000 species in the world, and 99 species in Vietnam. Many of them are commercially economic important. To understand goby fish diversity in a mangrove forest, three surveys were conducted in March, July, and August 2019 from Tien Hai Wetland Nature Reserve, Thai Binh Province.

Isolation of hippadine from the bulbs of Crinum latifolium L. amaryllidaceae
The purpose of study is extraction and isolation of hippadine from the bulbs of Crinum latifolium for using as a reference standard for quality control of herbs and hippadine-containing preparations. Bulbs powder of Crinum latifolium was percolated with 70% ethanol, percolate obtained was evaporated at 65 0C to give a liquid extract. The extract was fractionated by distribution with n-hexane. The n-hexane extract was then chromatographed on silicagel 60 (0.04 - 0.063 mm). Hippadine was isolated, purified and elucidated by NMR, MS, IR and UV-Vis spectrum. The purity of hippadine was determined by HPLC-PDA. About 565,3 mg of hippadine was isolated and its purity was detemined as pure as 100%. Hippadine was isolated with the purity suitable for using as reference standard for quality control of herbs and hippadine-containing preparations.

Determination of the total phenolic content from the bulbs of Crinium latifolium (L.) by folin-ciocalteu method
Phenolics are a class of chemical compounds consisting of a hydroxyl group bonded directly to an aromatic hydrocarbon group. There are two groups of phenolics - simple phenols and polyphenols. Polyphenols whose antioxidant activity have the ability to reduce or prevent damage caused by free radicals promote positive effects on human health [5]. Therefore, in this present study, we tried to determine the total phenolic content of powdered Crinum latifolium L. bulbs extract.

Determination of paeoniflorin from radix paeoniae rubrae by high-performance liquid chromatography
Radix Paeoniae rubrae is a medicinal herb used in traditional medicine as well as in the manufacture of medicinal products for the treatment of chest pain, anti-inflammatory, anti-coagulant, vasodilatation However, the quality of Radix Paeoniae rubrae is suspected because of not tight controlled. The main chemical component of this medicinal herb is paeoniflorin, a monoterpen glycoside. We conducted this study with the aim of developing the quantitative procedures of paeoniflorin in Radix Paeoniae rubrae by HPLC, which can detect cases of counterfeit or exhausted pharmaceuticals, this will help improve the quality control of this medicinal plant.

Isolation of herniarin from matricaria chamomilla extractions. application to determine in chamomile and liposomal gel
Chamomile (Matricaria chamomilla L.) is a medicinal plant species from the Asteraceae family. It is known to have numerous pharmacological activities, such as hypoglycemic, antistress, analgesic, anti-inflammatory, and antibacterial activities. This study was designed to isolate and quantitative herniarin, a well-known coumarin of chamomile. Herniarin was isolated from the chamomile absolute by vacuum liquid chromatography with n-hexane and chloroform mixed. Structure of herniarin was determined by analyzing the UV-Vis, IR, and NMR spectroscopy data. Herniarin quantitative procedures from chamomile extract and liposomal gel use HPLC system with DAD detector. This procedure was validated with the specificity, linearity, range, accuracy and precision characteristics.

In this paper, the symbol-pair distances of all repeated-root negacyclic codes of length 14 are obtained. As an application, all MDS symbol-pair negacyclic codes of length 14 over finite field F7m are established.

Effect of control measures on the transmission model of nipah virus disease
The objectives of this study were to propose mathematical model of Nipah Virus Disease with effect of control measures on the transmission model Nipah Virus Disease, and to investigate the transmission model of Nipah Virus Disease. The standard modeling method is applied for model analysis. In this study, there were two control measures, the awareness rate to protect disease (u1) and the recovery rate of humans by treatment (u2).

Genetic relationships of the anabas (Anabas sp.) using mitochondrial cytochrome oxidase subunit I marker gene
Total DNA of the anabas specimens (A1, A2, A3, A4) in Vietnam were extracted using PHUSA-IHHNV kit and according to the process of Phu Sa Biochemical Company. The mitochondrial cytochrome oxidase subunit I (COI) gene were amplified using PCR reaction. The obtained PCR products were checked using 2 % agarose gel electrophoresis and were sequenced with both the forward and reverse primers using an automated sequencer ABI 3730XL of Applied Biosystems by Sangers method. The genetic distances (Dij ) between the anabas species in Vietnam (A1, A2, A3, A4) are very small from 0.0046 to 0.0156 and they are all in group 4 with Anabas testudineus in Malaysia so they are the same Anabas testudineus.

Heterocyclic amines in food processing and its food safety issues wth emphasizing healthy diet for people: A mini review
This review introduces heterocyclic amines (HCAs) as a food hazard, its formation during heat assisted process and particularly in food processing is presented. According to International Agency for Research on Cancer, hererocyclic amines have been considered as mutagenic and cancer carcinogenic compounds; and HCAs are evaluated as over 100 fold more mutagenic than aflatoxin B1 and over 2,000-fold more mutagenic than benzo[a] pyrene. Therefore much attention has paid to HCAs recently. Analysis of HCAs also reviewed to emphasize measuring and validation of HCAs in Vietnamese foods for further observational studies in the country.

Expression of dystrophin gene in the white spot syndrome virus infected macrobrachium rosenbergii
We observed messenger ribonucleic acid (mRNA) expression of dystrophin gene and change of intracellular calcium ion concentration [Ca2+] in the white spot syndrome virus (WSSV) infected prawn (Macrobrachium rosenbergii) at 0, 4, 8, 12, 26, 38 and 48 hours post infection. We demonstrated the relationship between the dystrophin gene and the [Ca2+] in the WSSV infected prawn. Experimental results showed that the expression of the dystrophin gene increased sharply from 26 hours to 48 hours post WSSV infection. The [Ca2+] in muscle tissue of the infected prawn samples increased from 1.52 fold to 1.80 fold compared to the uninfected control sample.
