A comparison of feature selection and classification methods in DNA methylation studies using the Illumina Infinium platform
The 27k Illumina Infinium Methylation Beadchip is a popular high-throughput technology that allows the methylation state of over 27,000 CpGs to be assayed. While feature selection and classification methods have been comprehensively explored in the context of gene expression data, relatively little is known as to how best to perform feature selection or classification in the context of Illumina Infinium methylation data.

Codon Deviation Coefficient: A novel measure for estimating codon usage bias and its statistical significance
Genetic mutation, selective pressure for translational efficiency and accuracy, level of gene expression, and protein function through natural selection are all believed to lead to codon usage bias (CUB). Therefore, informative measurement of CUB is of fundamental importance to making inferences regarding gene function and genome evolution.

Hyers-Ulam stability for nonlocal differential equations
In this paper, we present a result on Hyers-Ulam stability for a class of nonlocal differential equations in Hilbert spaces by using the theory of integral equations with completely positive kernels together with a new Gronwall inequality type. The paper develops some recent results on fractional differential equations to the ones involving general nonlocal derivatives. Instead of Mittag-Leffler functions, we must utilize the characterization of relaxation function.

Study on overweight-obesity status and related factors in preschool children in Hanoi
This study was conducted on 585 children, 3 to 5 years of age, at five preschools in inner and suburban Hanoi, 287 children in the inner city and 298 children in the suburban area. Anthropometric methods, sociological methods and WHO standards were used to evaluate the children’s overweight/obesity status and investigate factors related to the overweight-obesity status of the children.

Quy trình phân lập ARN từ mô chuột thí nghiệm trong nghiên cứu sinh y
Trong bài báo này, tác giả trình bày một phương pháp phân lập ARN từ các mô bào chuột thí nghiệm sử dụng TRI Reagent để phục vụ nghiên cứu sinh y. Kết quả cho thấy phương pháp phân lập của chúng tôi đảm bảo chất lượng, số lượng và tính toàn vẹn của ARN, tương đương với phương pháp đối chứng sử dụng kít phân lập. Phương pháp của chúng tôi tuy mất thời gian hơn nhưng lại có chi phí thấp hơn phương pháp đối chứng.

The conservation status of bats (mammalia: Chiroptera) in Cat Ba national park, northern Vietnam
This paper provides an update on the current status of each species based on data from recent field surveys with reference to previous publications and the current IUCN Red List (iucnredlist.org). Results from the recent surveys included eight individuals provisionally identified as Myotis cf. pilosus. The taxonomic status of five species (Aselliscus dongbacanus, Hipposideros gentilis, Hipposideros grandis, Miniopterus magnater, Murina harrisoni) are updated following recent assessments.

Influence of Aspergillus oryzae fermented soybean meal on plasma cholesterol and bile acid levels in hybrid tilapia and pompano fish
Fermentation has been suggested as an economical and effective method to eliminate anti-nutritional factors and improve the nutritional value of Defatted soybean meal (SBM). The present study aimed to examine the effects of Aspergillus oryzae fermented SBM (FSBM) on plasma cholesterol and bile acid levels in hybrid tilapia and pompano.

Effect of free fatty acid on expresion of light and HVEM mRNA levels in cultured skeletal muscle cells
Light, tumor necrosis factor superfamily member 14 (TNFSF14), is a secreted peptide of the TNF superfamily. It binds to the herpesvirus entry mediator (HVEM). Light/HVEM signaling is well reported as an important factor linking inflammation and obesity.

Changes in physiological and biochemical indicators during the growth and development of banana fruit (Musa paradisiaca L.) grown in Vinh Phuc province
The starch content and pectin content reached a maximum when the fruit was 14 weeks old and then gradually decreased. The tannin content decreased from fruit formation until fruit ripening. Through the research process, we found that banana achieves the best quality to harvest when fruits are 18 weeks old. The results of this study provide important data for the harvesting and storage of banana fruit.

Preliminary results on species composition of aquatic insects in Dai Dinh town, Tam Dao district, Vinh Phuc province
In this study, specimens were collected at 5 different sites. The aquatic insects were collected both quantitatively by Surber net (size 50 cm × 50 cm, mesh size 0.2 mm) and qualitatively by hand net and pond net. A field survey was conducted in December 2019 (dry season) and in June 2020 (rainy season).

Circulatory indices and their relations with physical strength of Kinh and San Diu high school pupils in Tam Dao district, Vinh Phuc province
The research results show that there were differences in morphological indicators: height was based on age and sex factors. The physical strength of the study was subjected to the normal group according to BMI. Circulatory indicators (heart rate, arterial blood pressure) had a proportional relationship to the morphological and physical index.
