Digital signal cross-connect (DSX) products are used to connect one piece of digital telecommunications

To keep pace with fast-changing technology and the need for excellent customer service, networks need
to be completely flexible yet reliable. To enhance this flexibility, the impedance matching panel allows
twisted pair cabling and coaxial cabling to coexist within a bay or bay lineups. A conversion must take
place to transfer the signal reliably from one type of media to another. The 75/120 Ohm balun changes

The performance of a CDMA system can be difficult to assess. Link budget
calculations can be used to verify performance margins for a particular set of
parameters, but fail to tell the “whole” story in an easy to understand, visual
way. In this paper, a graphical depiction of CDMA coverage vs. capacity is
shown to be a useful tool in evaluating the performance of a CDMA system.

In the distribution portion of the passive optical network (PON) for fiber-tothe-
premise (FTTP) architectures, the choice of fiber cabling – ribbon vs. loose
tube – can directly impact ease of installation and future performance. As is
usually the case in these networks, specific architectural characteristics and
particular applications may dictate the deployment of one type of cable over

In terms of flexibility, the traditional combination networks found inside hubs and headends are
quite rigid, making it difficult to change combination ratios. Adding radio-frequency patch panels
