The structural and optical characterization of the nanophosphor is described. The nanophosphor shows a prominent emission in the red region. The concentration dependence of the Pr3þ luminescence is investigated. The Photoluminescence analysis, CIE and CCT coordinates suggest that phosphors derived from LaOF: Pr3þmight a probable application for white LEDs.
