Improving the tool life of ceramic cutting insert when machining difficult-to-cut alloy steel

This article proposes various techniques employed in improving the tool life of ceramic cutting insert as compared to commercial cutting tool. Experimental tests were carried out to check the efficiency of one of the proposed techniques using ISO 3685 standard. The results revealed that notch and flank wears were dominant morphology during cutting process.

This study is aimed to investigate the influence of substrate bias on thicknesses and hardness mechanical properties of arc deposition technology TiN coating which is prepared on the surface of SKD61 alloy and Silic. The thicknesses of coatings were detected by examining the cross-sectional optical microscope image base on Silic sample.

A low power, low noise chopper instrumentation amplifier using body control DC servo loop and low input capacitance

This paper presents a proposed low power, low noise capacitively-coupled chopper instrumentation amplifier (CCIA) using body control DC servo loop and low input capacitance applied for biomedical recording. A DC servo loop using body control (DSL-BC) is proposed to reduce the electrode offset and its noise contribution.

Step skewing rotor design of permanent magnet BLDC motor for inwheel electric vehicle

In this paper, the skewing slot is applied to the PM surface mounted Brushless DC Motor 20kW 36 slots and 12 magnet poles (Z = 36, p = 12) for eliminating torque ripples. To observe the skewing stator effect, the stator lamination layers are skewed with different angles. With determined skewing angle, the cogging torque eliminated theoretically and flux density space harmonics are also reduced

Improve the torque characteristic of axial flux permanent magnet motors for inwheel motor cycles

In this paper, the axial flux permanent magnet motor with concentrated winding, axial flux, segmental rotor is proposed to compare with the conventional BLDC motor. The proposed topology has permanent magnet segments and slotted stator. In order to compare with the existing BLDC motors, an amount of permanent magnets is considered to scale up power and torque.
