Chapter 18 - Probabilistic classification. Classification refers to the task of predicting a class label for a given unlabeled point. In this chapter we consider three examples of the probabilistic classification approach. The (full) Bayes classifier uses the Bayes theorem to predict the class as the one that maximizes the posterior probability.
