INTRODUCTION
KRONE has a long history as a market leader in the communications and information industry.
Founded in 1928 by Gustav Krone, the KRONE Group is one of the world’s leading suppliers of the interconnection and distribution systems used in
telecommunications and data networks.
KRONE is represented in 140 countries around the globe by 29 subsidiaries, 80 sales partners and approximately 3,000 employees.
Our core LSA-Plus quick connection system, which allows wire connection without soldering, screwing or insulation removal, is considered an industry
standard in more than 140 markets worldwide.
KRONE HIGHBAND
The use of KRONE’s HIGHBANDTM range within a structured cable system enables highspeed LAN and WAN systems “Maximum Headroom” in transmission performance. It is the only product on the market which far exceeds International Category 5e performance standards and even proposed Category 6
This improved cross connection system offers extended bandwidth capacity and transmission performance - a feature required in today’s cabling systems to meet the demands of tomorrow’s networks.
HIGHBAND configures and integrates easily with all existing KRONE solutions and is part of the KRONE PremisNETTM range of cabling systems. It also forms a critical component of KRONE’s impedance matched TrueNetTM structured cabling systems.
TrueNet is the first cabling system in the world to
eliminate data errors in the cabling channel dramatically enhancing network efficiency and performance. HIGHBAND is space saving, easy to manage, and its ability to allow jumpering, patching, or Patch-By-Exception, makes it the most flexible system on the market today.
When patching, HIGHBAND gives you proven reliability by the use of a centre port for the connection which is separate to the wire termination point.
The unique design of the silver plated KRONE LSA Plus contact and its mechanical cable support gives you the most reliable and secure connection method available.
HIGHBAND is manufactured in Australia under the ISO9001 Quality Standard and is sold world wide
through the KRONE global distribution network.

FEATURES AND BENEFITS
Bandwidth
Silver contact plating
45 degree contact positioning
Centre port access
Jumper & Patch
2 conductor slots
Low insertion force
Single pair management
Work access from front of modules
Vital component of TrueNet
cabling system
Higher bandwidth capacity allows you to install a cabling system that is capable of handling emerging technologies
Silver has an electrical conductance that is 6.9 times greater than tin.
By placing contacts at 45 degree angles across the axis of the wire, much less stress is placed on the wire at point of termination.
HIGHBAND allows you to test/monitor access to a hardwired circuit without breaking that circuit.
The HIGHBAND module allows you to jumper and patch on the one module.
HIGHBAND guarantees you two conductor terminations per slot.
The high insertion force needed to terminate other systems can cause stress on the wire.
HIGHBAND allows individual pair management as opposed to RJ solutions which do not.
With the HIGHBAND module all connections are made from the front facilitating cable administration.
HIGHBAND 8 and Ultim8 modules are specially tuned to perform within the TrueNet structured cabling system offering impedance values of 100 (± 3) ohms compared to the industry standard
of 100 (± 15) ohms.

THE INDUSTRY’S MOST SECURE CONNECTION
1. Clamping ribs isolate contact area from stress.
2. Silver-plated contacts make a secure, gas-tight connection with
superior corrosion resistance.
3. 45° "torsion" contact maintain a continual force on the connection.
Grips wire from two directions for greater security.
Resists wire being pulled out from top or bottom.
Never overstresses the contact
(even with wire as large as 0.65mm).
Effects On Wiring
KRONE vs Others
The KRONE 45o contact leaves more wire between the contact points.
Accepts from 0.4 to 0.65mm
Double termination same gauge wire on single terminal.
Silver-plated contact oxidation doesn’t affect conductivity.
Insertion Tool means less stress on wire
90o contacts can weaken wire increasing breakage.
Must be able to take UTP/STP which is 0.5mm
Punch down only one wire per terminal.
Tin-plated contact corrosion reduces conductivity.
Impact Tool causes high stress on wire
