The First Time to Vietnam
Rob and Dan were visiting Vietnam for the first time, and they were
really having a great time. They started in Saigon, and after three weeks,
they decided to make Halong Bay the big finish to the trip. But, they
didn't have a hotel reservation for their last night after they got back from
Ha Long Bay. While they were driving back to Hanoi, Rob said, "We
need to get back to the city so we can find a hotel before dark. I wish the
driver could speed up. At 5pm, the tour company's car dropped them off
in the middle of rush hour traffic in the busy Old Quarter on Ma May
street. Dan said, "Ok, so now what do we do? Should we just try that
hotel over there and see how expensive it is?" So, they walked into the
hotel, and said hello to the man at the desk. They said ok to the price, and
they asked if they could check in right away. "It's our last day in
Vietnam", Dan said, "I'm so sad we have to fly home tomorrow." Then,
Rob asked, "What is the check out time?" The hotel clerk replied that
they must check out before 11 o'clock, and asked if they wanted a car to
pick them up in the morning to take them to the airport. So Rob said,
- "Well, I think we should ask the car to pick us up at 11 since the plane
will take off at 1pm." and Dan agreed. The clerk gave them their room
key, and he said they would bring some bottles of drinking water in a few
minutes because they had just run out. "We just ran out of water this
morning, so I need to go buy more", said the clerk. "I'll bring them to
your room, and I'll also be here in the morning to see you off to the
airport."

cụm động từ trong bài học.
A: I'm pretty tired after the long flight, should we just check in to a
hotel and get some rest?
B: Sure. That sounds good. I just want to pick up a bottle of water.
00:00
A: Ok, I won't take off without you. But the hotel will probably have
water for sale.
- B: Yeah, but sometimes they run out, and I want something cold right
now.
A: I wonder how much would it cost to check out late tomorrow?
Maybe around 5pm?
B: Oh, yeah, that would give us time to go to that spicy noodle
restaurant one more time. And, we could drop off these postcards at the
post office before we get in the taxi to the airport.
00:00
A: Ok, I'll go down and ask them if we can have a later check out time.
Do you want me to pick up anything when I go downstairs?
B: Well, I called the front desk to say there are no pillows in our room,
but they still haven't brought them. Tell them to speed it up!
A: Ok guys, the score is 1 to 1. After the break we need to go out there
and win this game.
B: Every time we try to get the ball, they just speed up and move
00:00
around us.
A: Well, I need you to go out there and be even faster. Be quick - take
off like a bird when you get the ball - OK?
- B: Ok. We're going to see them off the field. We're going to win!
