Introduction to Vietnam
Gateway to Indochina
One of the World’s Fastest Growing Tourism Markets
Vietnam is the world’s gateway to Indochina, rich with history, natural wonders and charming culture. With a coastline stretching along the South China Sea for 3,500 km and a bounty of heritage attractions, the country is a veritable paradise for both sun worshippers and cultural enthusiasts.
Counting five UNESCO World Heritage Sites throughout the country, Vietnam is dotted with cultural attractions and has maintained its historical appeal, preserving remnants from the Cham Kingdom, Imperial dynasties and French Colonial era. As Vietnam’s past has influenced its future, the country’s history‐laden streets are afresh with the romantic charm and exotic allure that has captured the hearts and minds of generations of visitors.
In the past 20‐years, since the economic reforms in the late 1980s, Vietnam has gone from Indochine to Indochic, transforming into a vibrant society propelled by positive economic growth, compelling demographics and a buoyant consumer society. From Hanoi to Ho Chi Minh City, there’s a palpable energy in the streets, as the Vietnamese welcome modernity and usher in a new era
of prosperity.
For the past several years, Vietnam has emerged as one of Southeast Asia’s greatest success stories for economic progress, posting the highest growth in GDP throughout the region. The country’s political and cultural stability make Vietnam one of the world’s safest countries and the global investment community has responded by pouring record levels of Foreign Direct Investment into the country, particularly into the hospitality and real estate sectors.
Vietnam is one of the world’s fastest growing tourism markets, based on recent increases in foreign arrivals. As the country develops as a top‐tier leisure destination, investors have turned to Vietnam’s vacation‐home property market, as an attractive investment grade asset class. Through a series of recent reforms designed to ease regulations, the government has liberalized property ownership laws in favor of foreign interests, demonstrating a commitment to developing
a globally competitive property sector.

China Beach
Vietnam’s Premier Tourism Destination Natural, Cultural and Recreational Attractions
Vietnam’s central coast is Vietnam’s premier tourism destination, boasting three UNESCO World Heritage Sites: the ancient trading port of Hoi An, the ruins of My Son and the former imperial capital in Hué .
In close proximity to all three, China Beach, where The Nam Hai is located, has emerged as a top‐tier, leisure resort destination and was voted by Forbes magazine as one of the “world’s ten most beautiful beaches.”

(2/3) Founded in the 15th century, the ancient town of Hoi An, 10 kilometers south of the resort, was established as Vietnam’s most important central coast port.
(4) Located two hours north of The Nam Hai, Hué was established as the capital of unified Vietnam in 1802, and remained the cultural and political center of Vietnam under the Nguyen Dynasty until 1945.
