I. Introduction: The lesson belongs to Unit 7. Then and now of New Headway elementary book. It introduces the basic knowledge about past simple 1; vocabulary about some words that go together; reading about two famous first – Amelia Earhart and Yuri Gagarin; writing to describe a holiday.
II. Aims:

Knowing the usage of past simple
Understanding the vocabulary about some words that go together.
Reading about two famous first – Amelia Earhart and Yuri Gagarin. Enhancing writing skill: describing a holiday.

Reading the vocabulary fluently. Practicing speaking skill.

Contributing the ideas to the lesson. Working in groups enthusiastically.
