GRAMMAR STAGE MEMORISATION Compiled by Hannah Wilson Why this file exists This file was put together as we use the “pick up and go” approach to homeschooling on a daily basis and as there was nothing to pick up for memory work, we just did not “go”. I hope that it is useful to you too. I do not envisage my children memorizing everything in these lists and we will probably add to the list as we go along. We will only commit history, geography and science facts to memory once we have studied the topic using living books. Maths, Grammar and Latin memorization will be added as it comes up in the curriculum. How to memorize To start memorizing, read the entire passage through two or three times per day until everyone can recite it together. (we have our memory work up on the wall at the dining table, schoolroom and above the bath) How to organize your memory work At http://simplycharlottemason.com/timesavers/memorysys/ the authors describe an easy system for memorization and organizing scripture which can be used for all memory work. 1 Table of Contents 1 Personal
