Our classroom "FaceSnaps"
I still remember my first day at school. When my teacher, Mrs. Smith,
came in, everybody stood up to bow. We were allowed to sit down but
she immediately asked us to take a pen out, and then write down our
names, birthdays, phone numbers, home addresses and hobbies on a piece
of paper. Then she picked up all of the paper to make up a book that we
called "FaceSnaps" From then on, by looking up our friends’ personal
information in that book frequently, we never missed out on a birthday
party. You wanna see my FaceSnap? Turn over the first page and I’m
still there!

W: In our culture, we always stand up to bow to the teacher
when she comes in.
00:00 M: It sounds great. But if you’re busy making something up, do
you have to stand up anyway?
W: Yes, sure.
M: Have you looked up their phone number for me?
00:00 W: Yah. And I remember writing it down somewhere in my
notepad.
W: Sorry I can’t find the list of the attendees anywhere.
M: Take out my notepad and turn the first 5 pages over, then
00:00 you will see the list on the left column. But be sure not to add
any more names in that list.
W: OK. I just want to pick up some names for my report.
W: How did you spend your time when you were young?
M: I just loved sitting down on the sofa and watching TV.
00:00
W: Well, I didn’t have a TV when I was young, so I think I
missed out on a lot of fun.
