Results: The mean age and diabetes duration was 54.1 ± 10.1 and 2.4 ± 3.4 years, respectively. Before the study start, metformin monotherapy was used by 60.4% of patients, and the most used combination was metformin plus sulfonylurea (39.6% of all the patients).
