Use the Writing Frame to summarize “Circuits.”
An electric current must have a path so that the current can flow
.
A circuit has three parts. They are a power source, a load, and connecting
wire .
If any part of a series circuit breaks, the circuit is open. As a result, none
of the parts will work because current cannot flow
.
In a parallel circuit, each branch has its own path for electric current
.
Therefore, if any branch of a parallel circuit breaks, currents will still flow
through the other branches .
