The urban and transport karte intends to understand urban development characteristics and transport situation and characteristics collectively at district level. The karte is composed of: Urban Karte includes profile of district, socio-economy, landuse, land condition, future socio-economic framework and urban landuse map, and Transport karte includes trip characteristics, demand characteristics, trip distribution, assessment of urban and transport services, and identified problems and issues. This attempt made in the HOUTRANS is the first step to continuously update and elaborate the data and information in the future stage to establish a comprehensive database for urban and transport planning of the metropolitan area and respective local government authorities. Established as an administrative and business-commercial center of HCM Metropolitan Area with well-developed urban services and international ports, Saigon Port. Many French colonial style buildings remain which are used for administrative offices and attract tourists from overseas. Established as an administrative, business-commercial and residential area with well-developed urban services. The tertiary sector employee at residence accounts for 67%.
