- Ha Noi is the capital of Vietnam
and the country's second largest
city. Its population in 2009 was
estimated at 2.6 million.
The city is located on the right
bank of the Red River. Hanoi is
located at 1,760 km north of Ho
Chi Minh City and at 120 km west
of Hai Phong city.

- THE HO CHI MINH MAUSOLEUM
The Ho Chi Minh Mausoleum is a large memorial in Hanoi, Vietnam.
It is located in the centre of Ba Dinh Square, which is the place where
Vietminh leader Ho Chi Minh read the Declaration of Independence
on September 2, 1945, establishing the Democratic Republic of
Vietnam

The Statue of Liberty is a colossal neoclassical sculpture on Liberty
Island in New York Harbor, designed by Frédéric Bartholdi and
dedicated on October 28, 1886.
- The statue, a gift to the
United States from the people
of France, is of a robed
female figure representing
Libertas, the Roman goddess
of freedom, who bears a torch
and a tabula ansata (a tablet
evoking the law) upon which
is inscribed the date of the
American Declaration of
Independence, July 4, 1776.
A broken chain lies at her
feet. The statue is an icon of
freedom and of the United
States: a welcoming signal to
immigrants arriving from
abroad.
