A minimal predictive model for better formulations of solvent phases with low viscosity

In this work, we have analyzed this problem for the example of N,N-dialkylamides in the presence of uranyl nitrate experimentally. Furthermore, we present a minimal model at nanoscale that allows rationalizing the experimental phenomena by connecting the molecular, mesoscopic and macroscopic scale and that allows predicting qualitative trends in viscosity.

Wavelet analysis of renewable, non-renewable energy consumption and environmental degradation as a precursor to economic growth: Evidence from Malaysia

The present study utilized continuous wavelet power range, and wavelet coherence power range estimations to analyze the relationship among renewable energy consumption, non-renewable energy consumption and environmental degradation by taking about quarterly data for the time of 1997(1) to 2017(4). Moreover, the consequences of wavelet coherence affirm that ENG and CO2 emission have a bi-directional causal association with one another in the medium run and a uni-directional causal relationship where ENC is driving in a short run era. However, we found no proof of a causal relationship in a long and long run period. Finally, the aftereffects of wavelet coherence affirm that RENE and CO2 emission have a bi-directional causal association with one another in short run and a uni-directional causal relationship where CO2 emission is driving in medium run day and age.

Techno-economic feasibility of energy supply of water pumping in palestine by photovoltaic-systems, diesel generators and electric grid

The agriculture sector nowadays in Palestine relies mostly on conventional energy sources and traditional irrigation ways. Considering some factors such as high costs of fossil fuels and providing new electrical network, especially to remote areas and where grid electricity is either inaccessible or expensive to expand, therefore a solar photovoltaic (PV) powered irrigation system can be a practical choice for irrigating. In this paper, a PV-powered direct-current water pump system design for irrigation is presented, techno-economic feasibility of using solar PV systems for water pumping to replace a diesel engines and electric pumps also is presented. The PVSyst simulation software was used for convenience and monetary issues. Solar PV water pumping is found to be more economically in comparison to diesel or electricity water pumping in rural, urban and remote regions in Palestine.

Technical efficiency of thermal electricity generators in Kenya

The Government of Kenya introduced energy sector reforms in the late 1990s aimed at improving efficiency in the supply of energy. After over two decades of reforms, there has been no comprehensive study to estimate the technical efficiency amongst electricity generators in Kenya. This study examined 27 thermal electricity generating plants in Kenya using data sourced from Energy Regulation Commission for the period July 2015 to December 2017. The study applied two methods to estimate efficiency, viz., the Stochastic Frontier Analysis and Data Envelope Analysis. The results indicated that there is inefficiency in thermal power generation.
