A new wardrobe, a funky haircut, a dash of lip gloss, or a French manicure - every girl needs a fabulous makeover! What better way to revitalize your confidence than with a new, improved look? Makeovers aren’t just for those aesthetically and socially challenged characters in movies. They’re for everyone, because all girls can do with a change or a little tweak every now and again. Perhaps you’re starting high school and you feel like it’s time for a whole new look so that you wow everyone, instead of fading into the background. Or maybe you’re still single and looking for your Prince Charming. If you’re tired of being a wallflower or kissing frogs, a makeover can improve your social and dating life. Looking your best is an important aspect of dating because you wouldn’t want to date a guy who didn’t have good hygiene and wasn’t well groomed. As the makeover queen Cher in the fabulous movie Clueless says: “So okay, I don`t want to be a traitor to my generation and all but I don`t get how guys dress today. I mean, come on, it looks like they just fell out of bed and put on some baggy pants and take their greasy hair - ew - and cover it up with a backwards cap and like, we`re expected to swoon? I don`t think so.” You know what I’m talking about! If you don’t want a guy like the ones Cher is referring to, then you shouldn’t expect a guy to want the female version. But makeovers aren’t just about getting attention and becoming more popular or getting a guy, they’re about feeling good about yourself and loving yourself enough to take care of your appearance. Ah the magical, fictional world of movies. No matter how impossible the scenario, the girl and guy always get together by the end of the movie, usually by getting a makeover. We all know those scenes in movies where the geeky/plain girl is transformed into a swan. Of course the makeover montage is accompanied by a funky soundtrack and overzealous shopping scenes. I know you’ve watched those movies where the Plain Jane turns into beauty queen material all in the flash of a makeover montage. It’s hard not to cheer when the good girl turns into a vamp or when the nerd becomes the most popular girl in school. The makeover scene in movies is usually a bunch of clips set to a funky song, that makes you want to grab some friends and work your own makeover magic. You might have a huge crush on a guy, but he doesn’t even know you’re alive. Read on to learn about the importance of taking care of yourself and giving yourself an inner and outer makeover. This book will inspire you to be the best that you can be. Packed with inspirational makeover quotes and fun facts from your favorite movie makeovers, this is the only book you need to make you smile, laugh, and feel like you can handle anything. The iconic Marilyn Monroe’s makeover is arguably the most famous in history. Her mousy brown hair was bleached platinum blonde and she underwent a nose job. A sexy wardrobe completed her transformation. The Cinderella (1950) Makeover “Why, it`s like a dream. A wonderful dream come true.” Cinderella is the original and ultimate makeover movie. This animated Disney fairy tale tells the story of Cinderella, a beautiful and kind girl who is treated as a servant by her cruel stepmother after her father dies. The King wishes for his son the Prince to marry so he throws a ball where every eligible maiden in the kingdom is invited. Without her stepmother knowing, Cinderella decides to attend the ball. Cinderella’s Fairy Godmother makes sure that she is able to go to the ball by giving her a magical makeover. She magically transforms a pumpkin into a carriage and various animals into horses and a coachman, as well creates a beautiful ball gown and glass slippers for Cinderella to wear. Cinderella captures Prince Charming’s heart at the ball, but she has to leave by midnight as that is when the magic runs out and everything turns back into what they were before. At the stroke of midnight Cinderella flees the ball with the Prince in tow. She accidentally leaves one of her glass slippers behind and the Prince makes it his mission to find her again by taking the slipper around the kingdom and getting the maidens to try it on. When he eventually finds Cinderella the two get married and live happily ever after. Fun Fact: The transformation of Cinderella’s torn dress to that of the ball gown was considered to be Walt Disney’s favorite piece of animation. “A dream is a wish your heart makes when you`re fast asleep. In dreams you will lose your heartaches. Whatever you wish for, you keep. Have faith in your dreams, and someday, your rainbow will come smiling through. No matter how your heart is grieving, if you keep on believing, the dream that you wish will come true.” ... - tailieumienphi.vn
